My Real Thoughts on Ogee Makeup
Hey, have you seen TikTok? Ogee makeup is going totally viral. Especially from this clean beauty brand, Crystal Contour Collection; it contains three stick makeup products to contour your face, highlight those cheekbones, and add a pop of color for fun.
The Ogee brand has makeup stuff like tinted sculpted lip oil, many shades of lipstick, and sculpted face sticks, but skincare goodies, too, such as jojoba glow face oil, luminous botanical face mist, and renewal cream. I also like this brand because it's cruelty-free, gluten-free, certified organic, GMO-free, and filled with natural ingredients like cold-pressed jojoba oil, peppermint essential oil, and hyaluronic acid.
So, the Ogee brand has tons of best-sellers, but for my review, I'm gonna zoom in on the Crystal Contour Collection and the Ogee Sculpted Complexion Stick.
Ogee Makeup Review
Is Ogee Makeup Good
Yeah, I have tried loads of makeup stuff from Ogee, and I really feel that this brand lives up to its hype. Plus, there are loads of awesome reviews for Ogee products on TikTok. I would say most of the products are natural but still work.
Among the top sellers of Ogee is the Crystal Contour Collection. It includes three makeup sticks: Copper contour, Rose Quartz blush, and Opal highlighter. Each of these goodies uses 83% organic ingredients like cold-pressed jojoba seed oil, beeswax, and olive fruit oil.
With that said, since it's a natural and organic makeup and skincare brand, I'd say the sticks are just as pigmented and buildable as other non-natural or organic makeup brands out there. I also believe these are great for any skin type. Want to keep reading? Check out more of what I think about the Crystal Contour Collection.
The Best-Selling Ogee Stuff: The Crystal Contour Collection
Copper
So, this contour stick looked super dark and freaked me out at first. I was like, "There's no way this is gonna work for my pale skin." But honestly, it just ended up being the perfect shade for contouring my face without making me look silly. It blends in really nice and doesn't leave me with weird brown streaks on my face.
I totally dig the color because it's not all orangey. Unlike some bronzers I tried in the past, the Copper sculpting stick is way browner in shade and doesn't give those weird orange streaks. As this is more brown than orange, I think it looks very natural on the skin.
I like running this stick along the hollows of my cheekbones, over my temples and hairline, down my jaw. Then I take a stiff makeup brush-the Ogee Blender Brush is just right for this-and blend it all in.
Opal
Most people like to apply their highlighter over their blush. I learned from Sir John-to apply your highlighter underneath your blush. The result is a "lit-from-within" glow, rather than an obvious layer of highlighter on top of your cheeks.
You know what's cool? The Opal sculpting stick totally looks super natural, whether you throw it on top of your blush or put it underneath. As the name hints, this stick has this lovely opalescent, pinkish kind of subtle shimmer going on. It's not like crazy shimmery or anything, but it does add a tiny bit of stunning sheen to your skin.
You know how most white or pearl highlighters tend to look kinda off on darker skin? Not this one; it's super sheer, so I really think those with darker skin can totally pull it off without that weird "white cast" happening. I'm really into this highlighter, and I love popping it onto my brow bone and into the inner corners of the eyes for that extra glow.
Rose Quartz
This is the brightest blush shade of all the Sculpted Face Sticks from Ogee. It's a deep rose color that's matte but kinda sheer. It goes on the skin super nicely and looks really natural on the cheeks. I love putting this on top of my highlighter.
Don't be intimidated by the bright color-this pick is actually quite sheer and can be buildable if you want more pigment on your cheeks.
My Ogee Makeup Review: The Downsides
You know what I am not a fan of with these sticks? The packaging is just so bulky! I wish it were a bit more petite, you know? It is ridiculously big and occupies a lot of space in my traveling makeup case. But, on the other hand, bigger makeup packaging has a following because some feel it is fancier, more high-end.
Another thing I'm not a fan of with these sticks is that they're kinda expensive. Like, especially if you get them one by one. They seem to be in the same ballpark as the Westman Atelier Highlighter and Blush Sticks, which are around the same price as the Ogee Sculpted Face Sticks. I haven’t tried any Westman Atelier stuff, so I can’t really say anything about their makeup sticks.
I tried out the Ogee Sculpted Complexion Stick.
So many of y'all reached out with comments and messages on Instagram, asking me what I think about this Ogee Sculpted Complexion Stick. I finally found my perfect shade, and I am so ready to add this into the review!
Well, with this complexion stick, there are things that I like and others that I do not. Here is what I like:
- The color Birch 0.5N is a perfect match for my skin and doesn't look strange at all. It's neither too dark nor too light; it's just right, and it doesn't look obvious that I'm wearing foundation.
- I really dig that this comes in a stick format and it's super easy to take along when traveling. You don’t have to stress about spills or anything like that.
- I love how I can just swipe this onto my face and then grab a blending brush to smooth it all out. Honestly, I wouldn't just use my fingers to blend it. I don't think that would give me even coverage.
- I love that this gives a light coverage. I'm not into heavy or full-coverage foundation. This one totally gives a natural finish and look.
- That doesn't make my pores stand out-but it does show off my fine lines and wrinkles, and I will get into that soon-and it blends in with my skin really well.
- The formula is very light on my skin, and it is like I am not even wearing foundation.
- I really love that the ingredients are all clean, and you don't have to stress about slapping some toxic foundation on your skin!
- I'm super impressed with how this formula lasts on my face throughout the day without caking or getting gross.
And that is what I don't like:
- I think this Ogee Sculpted Complexion Stick is just a bit tougher to blend than regular foundation. After a bit, I got everything to blend super smoothly, but you might have to go over it a few times with your blending brush to get it all to sit nice on your face.
- I feel like this formula kinda settles into fine lines and wrinkles a bit. It's not awful, but it doesn't blend into fine lines as well as some of the other foundation sticks I've used.
- The shade range is not that great, and some darker-skinned individuals may have a hard time finding just the right match, which kind of stinks.
- This formula contains beeswax, which might cause irritation to some. I don't find any irritation on my skin specifically. However, it's something you should be aware of in case you know you are sensitive to beeswax.
- Ugh, the packaging is so bulky that it makes this stick pretty pricey! It's $52, which is most definitely up there for foundations. I mean, this stick might last you a bit, but that's still a chunk of change for makeup. You're sort of paying for the fancy packaging and the all-natural, high-end organic ingredients in it, I guess.
- I gotta say, the shades can be a bit confusing. I started out with Linden 1.75N, but it turned out to be way too dark and yellow for my skin tone. Then I tried the lightest shade, Birch 0.5N, and it was just completely the perfect match for me. Honestly, I'd suggest going a shade lighter than you think when you buy this stick.
Where to buy Ogee makeup?
I usually receive a lot of beauty products for free, thanks to my gig in beauty journalism. But the Ogee Contour Collection? Yeah, that one I bought myself, after literally everyone and their mom seemed to go crazy about it on TikTok.
I got my Ogee Crystal Contour Collection from their website. When I checked, the trio was going for $108, plus shipping. You can also grab each of these products separately, and they'll run you about $48 each.

Crystal Contour Collection: $108 | Individual Sculpted Face Stick: $48 Sculpted Complexion Stick ($52) Hi, guys, hope you enjoyed my Ogee makeup review! Honestly, I don't even have enough great things to say about these products. I use the Crystal Contour Collection almost every day (!!!) and would highly recommend the Sculpted Complexion Stick if you're after a super clean, organic foundation that actually works.
